SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION
The most comprehensive source of information on vitamin D is probably the Vitamin D Council. The Council’s web page covers all the basics of vitamin D, as well as the scientific research on the subject. It also presents a newsletter, news from the media, and a link page leading to a host of resources. You will find what you are looking for there. The council is headed by John Cannell, MD.
GrassrootsHealth is another rich source of information on vitamin D – ”A Consortium of Scientists, Institutions and Individuals Committed to Solving the Worldwide Vitamin D Deficiency Epidemic”. Here you will also find the very useful compilation of data for required serum vitamin D levels for prevention of various diseases.
